Maison Béchard Aix-en-Provence

pastry chef

Go there for...

Their reputation: Margaux Touzet is 5th generation in the Béchard family, and continues to run this true Aix institution, with its emblematic address on the cours Mirabeau since 1870.
The specialties:
The best known: the caramelised apple pie tart, the lemon meringue tart, the tarte tropézienne and of course the mont-blanc. The star of the house: the Alexandre, an almond and praline mousse. A true gourmand sin!
Their expertise:
Aix Calissons, fine chocolates, truffles, ganache, pralines and other confections are sure to please the enthused epicurean clientele.

We love...

• The authentic family heritage which makes them want to share the true value of these exceptional products.
• The ‘bûches’ logs or other traditional cakes made to order for parties.
• The parade of warm brioche awaiting us inside.
• Being able to order your gâteau des rois before Christmas: the brioche crown with candied fruits or frangipane. An early taste of the Epiphany!
